Sorenson Releases New Title, 挤8 Pro
Responding to requests for Avid DNxHD and Apple ProRes support, 索伦森媒体 has released an upmarket version of its Squeeze encoding software, 挤8 Pro. This new version is targeted at production or post-production houses with a variety of editing bays, who need a mezzanine format to speed up their workflows.
Along with the new formats, Squeeze Pro 8 offers Dolby Pro audio support and includes BIAS Sound Soap.
According to Eric Quanstrom, 索伦森的首席运营官, 挤8 Pro is a response to a well-established professional workflow, one that Sorenson wasn't serving. The new version broadens Sorenson's footprint while supporting professionals who need to work at 12-bit pixel bit depth.
Target customers for 挤8 Pro are mixed format houses with Avid Media Composer, 苹果最终裁切, and Adobe Premiere and After Effects bays. In that type of environment, getting files to conform for other applications can be a challenge, 说Quanstrom. Squeeze was already a Swiss army knife for input and output, he says; this release adds to its abilities.
For existing Squeeze 8 owners who need the new formats, they're available in the Sorenson store for $99 each.
